Nigel Hicks is Matilda's other best friend other than Lavender. He's in Miss Honey's class. Nigel's dad is a doctor and Dr. Hicks's wife helps their son study every night. Nigel is a smart young man. He hates Miss Trunchbull. He is super important. in the musical he explains what a "chokey" is. Miss Trunchbull hurts Nigel's feelings when she gets smart with him. Nigel isn't seen or mentioned in the movie. Which is a shame because he is a really funny and important character. Nigel’s Best friends are Matilda and Lavender. Nigel’s favorite food is pie this is because he loves blueberries.
But he appears in Matilda returns to film, the book, and Matilda the musical. In the musical movie and the musical, Matilda explains that he is narcoleptic (someone who has narcolepsy).
